The Costa Blanca

The coastal zone between Denia and the Cabo de Palos near Cartagena,  in the south of the Costa Azahar and in the north of the Costa Calida, has its name Bild:Meer-Berge"the white coast" probably from the typical white houses in this region and ist nowadays a very liked target for vacations for Spanish and other European people, because there are realy good offers for every taste. The sport offers reaches from gulf, trekking and riding, to every sort of water sports. One who loves the touristic bustle like on Ibiza or Mallorca, will love Benidorm with its Discos, Bars, Pubs and Shows, one who likes it a little bit calmer, should try to get a accommodation in the interior of the Costa Blanca. There are some places not so overflow with tourists.
Extreme nice is the landscape of the Costa Blanca with its combination between mountains and sea, who is not to find like this on other places, the differences between high coast and flat plains is  a fascinating sight for the viewer, like in the example photo right the view from Cabo Huertas at Playa San Juan/Alicante at the second highest mountain of the region, the Puig Campana.

The travel

There are different possibilities to reach the Costa Blanca:

With a plane

Perhaps the easyest and cheapest way to travel. At the Costa Blanca are three airports, regular used from british Airlines. The biggest is Alicante, aprox. 11 km south of the city and aprox. 108 km away from Denia and it will be actually extended now. With its position in the heart of the Costa Blanca and its traffic possibilities with the driveway AP-7 and the national street N-332 and the big choice of flights, it is ideal for traveling.
The second possibility is the airport of Murcia. There, at the souhtern border of the Costa Blanca, aprox. 45 km near Murcia, there is at the Mar Menor the airport of San Javier, which is prefered by some lowcost airlines. From there the way to Alicante is aprox. 94 km and 185 km to Denia.
The third possibility is the north of the Costa Blanca laying airport of Valencia. This airport is aprox. 100 km away from Denia and aprox. 170 km away from Alicante and, like the others reachable from the AP-7 driveway.

Travel with the car:

An expansive way to reach the Costa Blanca with the actual fuel prices and street tolls.

Travel with a bus:
